England and Scotlandd Trip

In December I'm going to England and Scotland.
We will be going to Stonehaven,Norfolk,London and maybe Portsmouth.
I might even play a game or two of football.
I will be seeing my family.

Euro 2012

On the 8th of June Euro 2012 started.
England made it into a group with France,Ukraine and Sweden.
They advanced through to the quarter finals and lost to Italy on penalties(Silly italians).
The semi-finals are Portugal VS Spain GO PORTUGAL and Germany VS Spain.
I think the final will be Spain VS Germany but I hope Portugal make it.

Regionals

On Monday 25 June we had the Regional Cross-Country.
It was 2kms long and had lots of mud pits and rivers.
We had 32 contestants from our school.
I came 56th out of  78 .
Luc G came 6th and Holly R came 2nd.
It was really awesome and I feel in the mud pit.
I hope I make it next year.

Direct speech

In class we are learning about direct speech. Today we cut out a picture of some animals or people and thought about a conversation they could have. Here is an example of something we will be doing

Football

The football season, my favorite time of year.
I started playing Football at the age of 5.
I play for FC Nelson Panthers 10th grade blue division.
I scored my first goal of the season 2 Saturdays ago against the Suburb Kings a chip over the keeper.
I played with Coastal Spirit in Christchurch before moving to Nelson.
 I support Manchester United(Man-U) and like David Beckham.
If you haven't realized by now football is my favorite sport.

Inter school cross-country

On Thursday 7th of June we had the Inter school cross-country at Branford Park.
We competed against six other schools, and had at least 38 participants from our school.
Central had two winners in the both yr5 boys and girls. Congratulations to Holly R(Rm3) and Luc G(Rm2).
I came 18th and our Yr5  boy team came 1st.
The track was 1.5 km and it had just rained so it was very slippery.
There was a ditch at the start that had filled with water so you needed to stop and jump over it.
My friend Ewan fell backwards and hit his head.
Thanks to all the parents who drove us and congratulations to all the students who made it to regionals.

All Wired Up

In the last few weeks we have been doing a rich task.
We have been making cars,buildings,robots and football stadiums but they have to use a circuit in it.It
has been a lot of fun and I have learnt some new things.



Here is me and my project we made a hotel when it was being broken into we used 2 series circuits with a light bulb and buzzer.We made the mansion out of cardboard boxes.


I really liked this one.
