Sailing

I am the champion.

I race to the buoy side-by-side with Connor, the wind in my hand the water underneath me. I am mother nature, me and my boat controlling the elements-wild water and wind. Then it comes. Like a pouncing tiger you know nothing until it's happened. The wind smashes into my boat. The blue rope comes out of its place and the boom now is not as useful. I have to duck as the sail flies across the boat. Suddenly the wind stops WHEW. I sail back to the boat dazzled, dazed and dreary but fine.

Haiku

In class this term our writing topic is poetry and in class we had to write a poem based on the theme Freedom.
Fiano, out teacher, placed cards round the classes with different types of poetry, it included Acrostic Poem, Rhyming Couplet, Calligram(picture poem), Haiku, Limerick and Ballad.

I choose to write a haiku on freedom.
A haiku is a poem based on syllables, when I say that I mean each verse is only allowed a certain amount of syllables in it.
In haiku the first verse has five syllables in it, the next seven and the final one back to five.
These are my two haiku, hope you enjoy.


Hello little bird
Do you like it up there
With nothing to care

I don't like it here
One day I should run away
Free forever, YAY

Open Goal... Miss

Aled dribbles with the ball before looking up and seeing Max's hand signal, he launches a perfect pass to Max.
Max sprints towards the ball shouldering the defender off the ball, he turns stare's at the goaly for a second before striking the ball.
Shylo the goaly dives towards the ball, hes flying for a second before punching the ball out.
I charge towards the ball.
I kick with all my might and it goes flying in the air before falling behind the goal.
"NO!" I scream before falling on the ground hands on head.
I missed.

Manhunt

I charge out into the open of the field two taggers hot on my heels.
Suddenly I see a group of people as I'm running I lift both hands into the air.
Ba boo ba boo ba boo ba boo my heart races as I wait for them to reply, at the last moments they lift both their hands into the air, the sign for not-in.
"Yes",I scream.
The mass of us all charge for the opening to the quad, shouting out warnings as taggers zip through tagging many.
I look behind me to see how many of us are in to my horror there's only three of us including me and a big group of taggers.
Now its nearly impossible to get out of this, except for one thing...
I quickly do a U turn round the taggers and out behind them.
As I sprint away they watch me then leave me to go get the other players left.
The taggers corner them then pounce like a tiger going for a kill.
I win.

He is one of my favorite players.

My horns are yellow with brown spots, when I was young my horns were flexible now they're hard and strong.
My ears help me keep away and fluffy ans most people think are cute.
My tusks are can grow up to 4feet long and can help me break through the ice so I can get to the ice.

The trees stare down upon him as the leaves whisper in the wind.
The volcano in his eye shines orange and glows.
His skin is rough and wrinkled like scrunched up sandpaper.
I wonder if he will win the prize of food today?
